  CHANGING DIRECTIONS AND MOVING FORWARD

Like a lot of my fans that have written, I too graduated this past spring and had a lot of choices and decisions to make about my future.  It's a big time in your life when you turn 18, graduate and decide where your life will take you next.  Here are a few of my experiences over the past few months.  Hope all of you out there are finding your place in the world as you head out of the house and off to college or decide to master a trade and enter the working world.  Pick up "Oh the Places You'll Go", a book by Dr. Seuss.  It's a great take on just what's out there and what to expect. "Rock Steady"

·                     COLLEGE - It's official…I'm a proud OU, "Go Sooners", college student.  Well, sort of.  I'm enrolled as a not so conventional freshman majoring in Television Broadcast Journalism. I've decided to complete most of my freshman and general education requirements in a new way.  Thanks to the magic of technology students now have the option of web based studies. I chose this option to chip away at my basics while I stay in the biz. My career is moving fast and I couldn't walk away.  Besides, acting has been my passion for the past eight years; you don't just quit that.

·                     HOME SWEET HOME OR NOT - Move to LA?  Stay in OKC?  Live at home?  Get an apartment?  Decisions.  For awhile it was really overwhelming, but then everything just fell into place.  Since my last five projects shot anywhere but LA, I couldn't see why living there was so important.  Staying in Oklahoma, getting an apartment with an old high school buddy and enrolling in college just seemed to work.  So now I have my very own bachelors pad with all the responsibilities that go along with it.  I'm not the best roommate since I'm on he road a lot, but life is good.

·                     CAREER MOVE - I just signed with one of the top talent agencies in the business, William Morris.  This is a major move in my career.  Already great things are happening.  Scripts are coming in and meetings and auditions are being set.  I have two of the top Senior VP's from WM representing me in film and television.  It's an honor to be a part of the agency.  I've had some really great representation over the years and my success is the result of their hard work and belief in me.  My manager, Lee Peterson, has led me in the right direction every step of the way. Thanks to all.

UP UP AND AWAY UPDATE

I've come a long way since my last report.  I've completed about 25 hours of flight, in three different types of aircraft and under a lot of different conditions.  I can honestly say that piloting your own plane is an amazing experience, even when you do get stuck in Longview, Texas with a broken magneto for two days!  When you take to the clouds there's no better feeling of freedom and release.  There is no room for error, so it's intense but peaceful all at the same time.  What a view!

I've tried a few cool maneuvers while in the air, like pulling zero G's where you can make an object float around in front of you.  I've pulled a mid-air engine stall and start and mastered the wingover move where you set the plane on its side wing over wing in a horizontal position.  But, I'd have to say buzzing the houses of my friends and waving as I fly by is still the biggest rush.   I've flown at night, put the plane down in a grass field, flown cross- country and over the ocean.  I still have a lot to learn and a few more hours to complete before even thinking about being a pilot.  I have to hit the books, pass the written test, do my solo flight and then pass the flight evaluation. Like fellow actors, Dennis Quaid, John Travolta, Harrison Ford and my good buddy Harve Presnell, I hope to be a great actor and an awesome pilot someday.
