Pit Stops For Fun

When I’m in LA, I’m all about the work. But once the job is done it’s a great place to play. There are always award parties to drop in on, movie premieres to attend and old friends to catch up with.

I always make a pit stop at Venice Beach. It’s a great place to hang for the day. I like to shoot hoops on the courts, eat lunch and pick up a game of pool at my favorite café. I shop and take in all the sights and sounds that can only be found on the Venice boardwalk. As soon as I hit town you’ll find me at City Walk sitting down to dinner at Tony Roma’s or taking in a movie. You can also bet that I’ll stop at the Sports Center at Jerry’s Deli to bowl a few rounds or at Whitsett Golf to hit a bucket of golf balls. I also like to hit the Saddle Ranch on Sunset and ride the mechanical bull. I’ve taken it to a 10, past that and my manager and agents start to get a little nervous!

Since I don’t live in town, I don’t get a chance to catch up with other young stars in the biz much. That’s why it’s great to take in a premiere, stop in on an afternoon party for the Young Artists Awards or shoot some hoops with the Hollywood Knights. It gives me a chance to see people I’ve worked with, make new friends and catch up with old ones. All work and no play...no way! I’m all about having good times.

Upper Left—Long time friend, Vanessa Lee Chester and I take time to share some laughs at the YAA party. Upper Right— Big hugs for my favorite cutie, Scarlett Pomers of Reba, who will appear with me in Ring of Endless Light, which airs on the Disney Channel in August. Lower Left—Friends since we were two, Talin and I spend a day at Venice . It was her first trip to LA. Check out her henna tattoo. Lower Right—Just me chillin’ and getting crazy at one of the vendors booths. There’s some great stuff for sale on the beach.

From left to right 1—Talin and I met up with fellow actor and friend, Lexi Randall for a day on the Venice Boardwalk. 2—My Dad, Talon’s Dad, Donny and I check out one of the finer forms of artistic expression you can see at the beach. 3—Happy “Sweet 16” to my friend Haley Fulton. I stopped by to wish her well and hang with her friends at her birthday luau. 4—Dad and I stopped off at the Sports Center at Jerry’s Deli for a game of foosball. My dad takes the game seriously and always kicks my butt. He’s been playing since before I was born. Gone are the days when he used to let me win.
