Sorry for the delay in posting the new Newsletter...as you can see my life as been a little hectic!  Thanks for being such great fans.

FEBRUARY-

Veritas was released and off to a promising start.  It pulled in some pretty decent numbers at first, but not enough to keep it on the air.  Even with the support of my fans, we just couldn’t convince ABC to stick with it.  Thanks to everyone who sent cards and e-mails to ABC. Even with ratings failing, I still had to stay in Canada and finish shooting the remaining episodes.  The cold weather never let up and I seriously forgot what the sun looked like.  Visits from my family and friends helped to brighten up the month.  I took a weekend break and headed for the mountains for some skiing.  Luke, Maddie and our families hit the slopes and chilled out at the lodge. Emphasis on “chilled”, the temp. was 14 below.

MARCH-

I wrapped up filming Veritas at noon on March 7th, and headed straight for the airport.  By three that afternoon, I was on a plane bound for “sunny” Tucson, Arizona to begin shooting a new film project.  “Spin” is a great coming of age, family drama, set in the 50’s.  It centers around my character who is orphaned at eight and left to be raised by a Hispanic family.  His adolescence is a struggle of life without parents, the pain of racial prejudice and the near death of the girl he loves.  Life throws my character a lot of stuff to deal with, but he comes through it all with flying colors. Between set ups and scenes, I’d hit the golf course and play a few holes.  I had plenty of visitors on set.  Arizona was a great change of pace and I loved being able to soak up the sun.

Ashley, my agent's assistant drops in on the set of "Spin" to wish me a Happy Birthday.

Caylee and Bransen Gates, two young fans from Phoenix, spend a day behind the scenes with me.
