![]() Everyone has that quirky little thing you do that becomes a statement about who you are. One of the things my manager and mom started with me when I was about 11 years old was this…Before every audition we would do this "Rock Steady" thing. That carried over to the name of my company and represents my belief that if you lean on the Rock, you'll always be steady. Another thing we did was make a wish and say a prayer everyday at 11:11, because that's my lucky number. My mom still tells me to Rock Steady before every audition, even if she has to call me wherever I am. Sometimes, even if it's 11:11 at night, she will get a call from me, or I might get a call from her, just to tell eachother to make a wish and say a prayer. Sometimes she'll call me in the middle of the day at 11:11 just to let me know she's thinking of me. What thing do you do that defines a part of who you are? Don't have anything! Well, it's not too late to start. Come up with something quirky that's special to you and see how long it stays with you. Share it with me in your letters and in the chat room. Yes, I do still jump in and check out your messages from time to time. By the way, don't expect me to pierce anything ever! Now a tattoo is a possibility and something I've actually thought about, but then my mom would disown me and my manager would freak, so probably not! Same Ole T-Shirt... Brand New Twist
The project is currently underway in the waters of the Marlborough Sound, located between the north and south islands of New Zealand. This is a two-year research project that will focus on the presence of the bottlenose dolphins in the area. It will involve the collection of data relating to the abundance and behavior of these mammals in relation to their environment. My sister, Monika Merriman, is in charge of the project. She is in her first year as a Master's student at Massey University. Since this is a university project, funding is very limited. That's why my company, RSI has signed on as a sponsor. Through your T-shirt purchase, you too can join the support team. All proceeds from the sale of the remaining 30 T-shirts will go directly to the project. The cost of the T-shirt is still only $10, but any contribution you would like to make over and above that would be greatly appreciated. Remember…100% of your contribution will be designated to the "Bottlenose Dolphin Research Project" and passed on to Monika's project through the University. All contributions, both large and small can make a difference. There are a lot of day-to-day operating expenses that can add up fast on a project like this. I look forward to hearing from you. I know my fans will want to get behind this wonderful project and be a part of something big. As a contributor, your name will be added to the project website and you will be proudly listed as a sponsor of the project. So, lend your support and respond today. There will also be E-Bay auctions in November and December to benefit the Project as well as T-Shirt sales and Contributions. We will let you know when the special items are going to be up for bids!
