Micol and I were in Scottsdale, Arizona on Friday, May 21st to support the grand opening of a new children's theatre… the Scottsdale Desert Stages Theatre. I was one of several stars in attendance to help kick off the opening night performance of "Cinderella". I got to be the "Prince Charming" amid a sea of local celebrity princesses who were on hand for the festivities. The night marked the beginning of a new chapter in the theatre's history. The kids did an awesome job and it was a great night for everyone. The memories from this night will last well beyond the stroke of midnight! This theatre was made possible through the support of a lot of people who recognize the importance of introducing children to the magic of live theatre. I know what the results can be, it's where I got my start…singing and dancing on the Lyric Theatre stage at the age of 10 in Fiddler on the Roof. The rewards can sometimes be amazing.

NIGHT ON THE TOWN

On May 22, I hosted the 2nd Annual "Night on the Town" to benefit Children's Miracle Network and Infant Crisis Services of OKC. OKC's Miracle Child, Jacob Dowling and I escorted the two lucky auction winners who won their "Night on the Town" through local auctions to benefit their charities.

The night got started with a limo pick up and flowers for the girls. Then it was off to Celebration Station for some games and go karts. From there the limo whisked us down to Bricktown for dinner at Coaches Restaurant. After dinner we took in the game and had a great time just acting crazy and harassing the umps of course!
