RYAN WRAPS UP WORK ON FD3…
It's a wrap! Ryan finished production on FD3 on June 27th. The cast and crew celebrated with a party at a local steak house and club in Vancouver. When you spend over three months on location, the cast and crew become like a second family. It's great to wrap, but hard to say goodbye to the new friends you've made. Ryan said, "Production on this project was amazing". Here are a few behind the scene shots of the action and fun. He's already done some post production work on the project and had a chance to view some of the early director cuts of the film as it is being put together.
WRAP PARTY!!!

Ryan and Micol celebrated their one year anniversary on June 25th. Since he was still on location in Canada, Ryan surprised Micol with her own special day. It started with breakfast in bed and roses, a special teddy bear bearing the gift of a Swaorski crystal necklace set with interchangeable colored crystals. It ended with spa treatments, shopping, a wonderful dinner at Savoury Coast and a movie. Micol surprised Ryan with a personal engraved leather and suede watch box to put all of the new watches in that he has started to collect.
Ryan has celebrated his last 8 birthdays on location and said that it would be great if his anniversaries followed suit. Depending on how you look at it…it's either a sacrifice or a perk of being a working actor. You get to celebrate special occasions in some really amazing places.
The two really celebrated after he returned home with a weekend at lake with his best bud Chance and his girlfriend Lindsey. They headed to Lake Eufaula, where Ryan and Micol met for the first time five years ago, and spent the weekend camping, boating and skiing with friends.

RYAN ANNOUNCES A NEW PROJECT…
After wrapping FD3, Ryan had a little
down time to celebrate the 4th and attend a family wedding in Kentucky.
Then it was right back to work as he headed to LA on July 18h to follow
up on some projects in development and to pursue some new ones. As luck
would have it, once again, Ryan was in the right place at the right time
to land his next big role. He arrived on Monday, auditioned on
Wednesday and had an offer on his next film by Friday. Sometimes timing
really is everything in the film business. He will co-star with Haley
Joel Osment in "Home of the Giants, which will begin shooting in North
Carolina in September. Ryan is honored to be sharing screen time with
Haley, whose career he admires.
"HOTG" is a coming of age drama set in an Indiana town that literally
lives for basketball and rooting for the home team. The story centers
around two teenage friends, Osment, who will portray Robert "Gar"
Gartland, a school journalist covering the basketball team on its way to
the state championship. He idolizes the town's star basketball player,
Matt Dunbar, played by Ryan. During the team's quest for the
championship, the boys get caught up in a dilemma when Matt is asked to
throw the big game. Befriended by Matt's brother, who is a former
Giants team player, the boys are taken in by him. He ends up being
anything but the hero they thought he was.
"Home of the Giants" is a story of friendship. The kind of that brings
two unlikely characters together to form a friendship that only gets
stronger with time. It's based on trust. An "I've got your back"
through the good and bad times kind of story. Even in situations that
cross the line between right and wrong, these two friends hold tight to
their belief in each other. It's the story of two friends who inspire
and encourage each other and stand strong together, especially through
adversity.

The May/June contest came to a close. The lucky winner of the signed poster print of "Spin" was Robin S. of Virginia. The winner of the "Spin" DVD was Natalie B. of Tennessee. Our thanks to everyone who supported the MSRT/DRP through RSI. Congrats to the winners. We won't host another contest for awhile. Look for another great giveaway and a chance to support MSRT/DRP in October when we offer up a little "Colt" memorabilia.
