My fans are the best, but these two amazing ladies really "Rock". Thanks to all my fans for your generous support of the MSRT/DRP. Through all of your support and contributions to her research, Monika has successfully completed 2 ½ years of field research, prepared an impressive presentation that she was honored to present at the 2005 Marine Mammal Conference in San Diego this year, and she is currently working on her master's thesis based on her field findings. She applied for, and was recently awarded, an associate teaching position at Massey University in New Zealand and will begin her work in February. So, special thanks go out to all of my fans who bought T-shirts, bid on items and made generous contributions to support her work through the years.

FD3 UPDATE
It's really a wrap and it's great! The new ending we shot is awesome. The LA premiere of FD3 on February 1st was a huge success. A lot of my family, friends and business associates were on hand to share in the fun. It was held at the Grauman's Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Blvd. in LA. New Line really rolled out the red carpet for a wild night. The after party was held at Level 3, a club located on site. I was feeling pretty good that night and the audience reaction to the film was off the charts. This one is a wild ride. So, buckle up and hold on to your seats for the ride of your life.
FD3 will hit theatres as scheduled February 10th. There is a lot of enthusiasm and anticipation for its release. You can check out the movie poster on the FD3 website, in local theatres and the trailer is currently being shown now on the FD3 website, on TV and in theatres. Be sure to catch FD3 the weekend it opens, cuz it's all about those weekend box office numbers! Tell all your friends to get to the movies! Stay tuned for more updates!

HOME OF THE GIANTS
Ryan and company finished the first round of production on "Home of the Giants" in North Carolina on October 9th. The final week of production has now been pushed to sometime in March, when the cast and crew will meet up in Chicago to wrap things up. There will be a special day of production on February 22nd in North Carolina. "HOTG" has been given permission to shoot footage during an official playoff game at half time and after the game. This gives them the advantage of filming with a stadium packed with genuine screaming basketball fans. Should be a rush! Early comments from editors who have worked on the film have been wonderful. Director, Rusty Gorman, has received a great deal of support for his project and everyone involved is glad to know that they will be able to wrap up production and bring this film to completion and to a theatre near you soon. We will keep you up on the latest news as it rolls in.

HOLIDAY CHEER AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR...
It was 24/7 family fun for the Merriman's this holiday season. For the first time in over a year and a half, everyone was together for Christmas. Monika was in from New Zealand where she has just completed 3 years of field research and wrapped up her Masters studies. Ryan had just returned from Vancouver after finishing production on his newest film, Final Destination 3. After Ryan made a quick trip to LA for some FD3 post production work and publicity meetings before the holidays, and once Monika wrapped up the Marine Conference in San Diego, the whole family met up in Lake Tahoe for a pre- Christmas ski trip. It was a blast. There was three foot of new snow for skiing, boarding and snow mobiling.
For the holidays, Monika brought home a genuine New Zealander to meet the family. Chris has been the love in her life for the past two years. He had to survive meeting the entire family. No stress or anything! Good thing we all loved him. He passed all the tests, even the dad and big brother tests. He passed the scrutiny of all 25 of us! You gotta love a guy who will hop on the tractor, work in the field beside my dad and spend his holiday hanging doors and doing some remodeling for grandma! As far as we go, he's a keeper! Ryan got to introduce Chris to some of America's finer foods, like Krispy Kreme Donuts and a good ole slab of ribs.

It was 24/7 family this holiday season.

Once home, there were the usual Christmas Eve and Christmas Day family parties, ringing in the New Year at Bricktown's Opening Night, and flashing back to the 70s with the help of Bullet Proof Brass at a birthday celebration of a friend. Monika has since returned to NZ to start her teaching position and Ryan is once again off to LA to audition for new projects and promote the release of FD3 both in LA and New York.

COLORADO BOUND FOR A CAUSE
From January 20th - 22nd, Micol and Ryan were at Copper Mountain in beautiful Colorado. They attended the First Annual Pro-Celebrity Union at Copper Mountain. Ryan competed in the celebrity Pro/Am downhill competition and in a funny money Texas Hold Em' Poker Game. It was a blast!
