ANNOUNCING A NEW CONTEST TO BENEFIT

BIKES AND TRIKES FOR KIDS

Ryan has initiated a Bikes and Trikes for Kids fund to help purchase bicycles for underprivileged kids in Oklahoma.  He will network with principles at local Oklahoma elementary schools to find needy families whose kids go without the privilege of a new bike at Christmas or on their birthdays.  To kick it off Ryan has decided to launch another contest and take donations from his supportive fans.

Look what $1 could win you.  Send a dollar and the answer to these questions to Bikes and Trikes for Kids Contest Entry C/O Noble Media Group.  Be sure to mark the envelope "Contest Entry".  Print out this questionnaire and send your entry with a $1 contribution in the envelope.  All entries with the correct answers to the questions below will be entered in a drawing to win the prize mentioned below.  All proceeds will benefit Bikes and Trikes for Kids to purchase new bikes for kids who would otherwise go without.  There will be only one lucky winner who will get the prize listed below, but remember, everyone who contributes to help the kids receive a bike or a trike is a winner! The kids win and you win by making a big difference in their young lives.

FD3 UPDATE

The numbers are in and FD3 rose to the top in the numbers race between the trilogy of FD films.  As of April 15th, domestic numbers reached $53,791,913 and worldwide distribution topped out at $90,588,411.  With numbers like that, could there be a four in the future?

HOME OF THE GIANTS UPDATE

Ryan and company are still waiting to wrap production on "Home of the Giants".  Conflicts in schedules and other glitches have caused some delays in production.   The remaining shots involve some exterior shooting and conditions have to be right or recreated to work.  We will keep you up on the latest news as it rolls in.  "HOTG" will be worth the wait so stay tuned.  These delays could push the project to a 2007 release.

RYAN ANNOUNCES A NEW PROJECT

On April 17th, Ryan began rehearsals on his newest project.  He is currently in New Mexico for eight weeks of filming on the new Larry McMurtry TV mini series, "Comanche Moon", based on his novel of the same title.  Ryan is honored to have the opportunity to take on the role of young Jake Spoon, which was portrayed by the late Robert Urich in the original "Lonesome Dove" series.  Ryan is excited about costarring with Stephen Zahn, Karl Urban and Val Kilmer, to name a few, in this epic telling of the prequel story to "Lonesome Dove".  "Comanche Moon" will be a six hour mini series produced by Paramount/Sony and will air on CBS.  Larry McMurtry and his writing partner Diana Ossana wrote the screenplay and Simon Wincer, the director of "Lonesome Dove" is on board to direct the prequel.

"Comanche Moon" bridges the 20 year timeline between "Dead Man's Walk and "Lonesome Dove" (1850's through 1860s Texas).  It is the story of the Comanche resurgence and decline, as they valiantly defend their homeland against the encroaching white settlement and its relentless threat to the Comanche way of life.

23rd BIRTHDAY BASH

Ryan and about 50 close friends and family recently celebrated his 23rd birthday with an old fashioned back yard cookout...at home.  That's right, for the first time since he was 15, Ryan was actually home and not on a movie set for his birthday.  Thankfully, so not to break tradition, he headed to the set of "Comanche Moon" the week after.  Like Ryan has said, "It's a blessing to be a working actor and I hope to spend a lot more birthdays on film sets in the future".

In celebration of his booking "Comanche Moon", the party had a western theme.  There was an old fashioned hamburger cookout with all the fixin's, set up chuck wagon style on the back patio.  Decorations were made up of cowboy boots, bandanas and field daisies; clay pots filled with trail mix and star cut luminaries lined the sidewalks and lit up the tables.  Tommy Keith's Rock Island Band provided the entertainment.  The guys drank beer, pitched horseshoes and played a few hands of Texas Hold Em' poker.  The ladies all girl talked and did a little boot scootin' late into the night.  The night wrapped up with a little excitement as the local authorities rolled in on the party.  They had been given a heads up on the party fun by Ryan's Uncle Scott who works for the county sheriff department.  Hollywood may take the boy out of Oklahoma from time to time, but it's always good to come home, cuz you can't take the country out of the boy, who at 23 is now a young man.

E-MAIL B-DAY WISHES

Wow!  Special thanks to all of Ryan's fans for your birthday wishes and especially to Ryanne for making it all come together on her site.  It was great when Ryan had the chance to take a look at all of your E-cards.  He sends this special thanks to all of you.  "I am blessed with great fans.  Thanks for the love."

HAIR TODAY

OK fans.  We know there has been a little poll going on about your favorite way for Ryan to have his hair.  Well, here is a little inside hair news.  For his role in "Comanche Moon" it is long and Ryan's natural tendency for curl the longer it gets is evident.  So, he has long wavy hair today, but will most likely be cutting it right after he wraps shooting on "CM", since he has to go into post production on "HOTG" and plays a young athlete it will have to be short again, which is the way Ryan likes it best.
