On St. Patrick's Day, I stopped by Children's Hospital in Oklahoma City to wish a whole lot of love and a healthy dose of "Luck of the Irish" to a very special group of kids. I had the chance to visit with the kids in the activities and creative center of the hospital, where the kids take a little time out from the treatment of their illness to laugh a little, create some fun and smile for awhile. I met Rueben there and he sure brought a smile to my face.

Ruben, along with other kids and their families, had a chance to visit with me and grab an autograph. Everyone had big plans to watch "Luck of the Irish" on The Disney Channel that night.

You can tell from the minute you walk in that this is a really special place, filled with fantasy and fun, where the kids and their families can forget about the tough stuff they deal with everyday, if only for awhile, and take time to have some fun, share a smile and create all sorts of artistic pieces that seem to echo the message of love, hope and healing.

Here I am with Trinity and Caleb getting ready to create our masterpiece for the day, but it's these kids who are the real works of art. The work being done at Children's Hospital through the efforts of Children's Medical Research Institute and Children's Miracle Network is amazing. Without the funding that CMRI and CMN provides, these kids would not have such an amazing medical facility and a top notch team of doctors to help them in their fight to find a cure for their illness and lead healthy lives.

Trinity was the cutest and sweetest little girl I have ever met. She was all smiles and drew me a very special picture that I took home and will cherish as I remember each day to think of and pray for these kids, their families and the physicians who work so hard to heal them. While she was so excited to meet me, I was the one who was truly blessed to have met her that day.
